Water fun in Bali

When we were in Indonesia, my Dad really wanted Emma and I to surf. I was not sure that I wanted to surf at first. When I saw how they where doing it, it looked really fun.

The day after we looked at the beach, we went down to surf. Everyone said it was best in the morning. There were storms every morning, so we had to go in the afternoon. We learned to surf in one out of a hundred surfing schools. I had to wear a shirt in the water so I did not get a sunburn. I had an instructor telling me what to do and to push me in the waves.

fore we went in the water, the instructor taught me how to sit on my board and to jump into the surfing position. You have to jump quickly so that you didn’t fall off the board.

When we got in the water, it took a while to get out to the point where you can catch a wave. The waves keep pushing you back when you are trying to get out. When you do get out there, it does not take very long to find a good wave to catch. When the right wave came, I took it. I stood up the way the instructor told me to and rode the wave right up to the beach. At that point I fell over and was covered in sand.

I thought I would be able to catch a lot more waves, but it took a lot of effort to get out to the point where you can catch a wave. That means you don’t have a lot of opportunities to ride a wave.

It was really fun to surf. Emma was surfing to, but we did not talk much since we were too busy. I fell off my board once or twice. The first time I fell off. The second time I jumped. The other times I rode it to the shoreline.

One of the hardest parts is when you try to get your board turned around at the shoreline. It was hard to get back in the water because the waves are pushing you board farther up shore or tripping you. I did find a way to get into the sea without tripping. I also ran into two surfers by accident on my way in.

On the second day surfing, my teacher and I had more fun. Once he even tipped my board over in fun. Another time he let me sit up on the board. That day was a lot more fun. I even got better waves. The last wave Emma and I went together and collided.

We also went to Waterbom, a really fun water park. It had lots of slides, a lazy river, pools, a kids area and a lunch area. I went on all the rides except the Climax. I really wanted to go on the Climax, but Emma and I weren’t heavy enough.

I went on a straight down slide, a swerving slide, the lazy river, all sorts pools, a bowl slide with inner tubes, a straight down slide with inners tube, and a lot of race slides. There weres two other ride at Waterbom that we did not go on: the Euro Bungy and the Water Balloons. Dad didn’t want us to go on those..

The whole week in Kuta was really fun.
