I did an interview of my neighbour. His name is Connor and he’s 11 years old.  He just got back from a vacation with his family.  I wanted to know what he did and how he did it.  I thought I’d share it on my blog.

I asked him 9 questions.  Here they are with his answers.

Q: Where did you and your family go on vacation?

A: We went to Hong Kong, Bali and Singapore.

Q: How much time did you spend in each location?

A: We spent 1 day in Hong Kong, 9 days in Bali and then 10 days in Singapore.

Q: Did you have a favourite part of your vacation?

A: The different foods were the best part.

Q: Did you try any new foods?

A: Yes, I tried BBQ’d lobster, fishball noodles, lemongrass tea and red rice tea.

Conner tried food from all types of different places.

Connor’s mom spoke with my mom and she said that Connor also tried Kopi Luwak coffee.  It’s one of the most expensive coffee in the world.  It’s expensive because a cat-like animal  called a Palm Civet eats the raw coffee beans.  The farmers collect the pooped out beans and then they are made into coffee.  I think it sounds weird and not very tasty.  Maybe that’s why Connor didn’t tell me about it.

Q: What types of transportation did you use?

A: We mostly walked around. When we weren’t walking we used our relatives car or  we took a taxi.

Q: We’re planning a big trip and might go to some of the places you went to.  Do you recommend we go there?

A: Yes, to all of them because they were all really fun.

Q: Would you want to go there again?

A: Yes, I’d like to go back to all of them.

Q: Did you meet up with any relatives on your trip?

A: Yes, but only in Singapore.  I have aunts, uncles and cousins that live there.

Q: What language did they speak?

A: Chinese

  1. Hey Jacob, I’m with you on the Civet coffee. Pay lots of money for coffee beans pooped out by a large cat. No thanks!
